I have been working with Dr. T. (my name for her) for a couple of years. I find her engaging, intelligent, caring, supportive, understanding, encouraging and with a great sense of humor (something I didn't expect from a therapist!) Dr. T. is interested in all facets of my life. Dr. T. is responsive to my emails and has been available in an emergency. Her scope of knowledge is just amazing and her experience is incredible. One thing I was looking for in particular was a therapist with healthy boundaries and I have found it in her. Dr. T. can be tough despite her size. I pushed once and found out first hand that she can address a problem directly, which increased my respect for her. Together we accomplished many goals, some I didn’t even plan to accomplish. I can testify to the fact that I have never brought up a topic she hasn't heard about before. Nothing fazes her. I must have put Dr. T. through every test I could think of and she passed them all. She doesn't give up on her patients. She is there when things are going well and when they are really rough. I would give up on myself long before she would ever give up on me. Dr. T. has been able to help me discuss topics I never thought possible. Another thing I like about Dr. T. is she fills in for my silence. Sometimes I just don't know how to get started or don t' want to talk. I can also be defiant. A lot of therapist I have seen in the past just remained as silent as I and that only made me more defiant, thus nothing was accomplished. I have been making great progress with Dr. T. and she has helped me a lot. I have walked out on other therapists but not on Dr. T.
